Viva Las Vegas!

Today I’m leaving for Las Vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday with {Mike}, {Teresa}, {Chris}, {Greg}, {Kristin}, {Vanessa}, her boyfriend Adam, {Maz}, and his girlfriend, Amber. Our itinerary includes shopping at this outlet, partying at this club and this club and laying out by the pool of course.

King Kong.

The week before Christmas Mike and I met {Maz}’s girlfriend, Amber, for the first time when we went on a double date to Island’s and the movies to see King Kong. She’s very sweet and pretty, I love her already.
Mostly I love the change I’ve seen in Maz since they’ve been together. Ever since I’ve known Maz, about 3 1/2 years now, he hasn’t really had a serious girlfriend. He’ll go on dates every once in a while, but those never panned out. Now that he’s dating Amber, he seems so much happier. I’ve really never seen him so happy and I’m really glad for him. It’s so nice to see that such an awesome guy like Maz, whom Mike and I care about and love so much, is so deliriously happy.
Jorge joined us for the movie once he got off work. The movie itself was too scary for me, haha. I had my head hidden in Mike’s chest much of the time, what with all the dinosaurs and scary insects and cannibals and such. It certainly did not end too soon.

One day when I was visiting Vanessa up at LMU she was telling me how her room is really plain. So I thought for Christmas I would try to get her something to jazz up her room. But was still thrifty as I am a poor student hehe. Finally I came up with a solution: a memoboard! It’s like a fancy bulletin board with ribbons and buttons and shit on it. So I bought some adorable Dora the Explorer fabric (she has a Dora pillowcase) and go to town! This is what I came up with:
It has red ribbons with purple star buttons at the intersections.
Hope she likes it. :oops: She’s not quite as obsessed with cute things and pink as I am, but I tried to make it as tame as possible hehe.
She got me this really cute cami and sweater from American Eagle:
And Maz got me Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life. My boss gave me a $50 American Express gift card. :nosey: I was really surprised. Right now I’m going to Mike’s to open presents with his family. I’m so excited!! :cheerful:
